Laurentian University has what is commonly called an “inventor owned” intellectual property policy. This and other aspects of commercialization, including the division of the revenue proceeds, are contained in the Laurentian University Faculty Association Intellectual Property Clauses .

As a Laurentian community member who wishes to proceed with commercialization of your intellectual property, you would complete the Expression of Interest to Commercialize an Invention . This one page form will act as a discussion document with our office. The more thorough Invention and Software Disclosure Form contains considerably more information to permit our office, in conjunction with yourself, to select the most appropriate next steps. Of course, we would be pleased to discuss any intellectual property or invention prior to the completion of either form. Confidentiality is assured.
