AQ and ABQ Offerings

The English-language Concurrent Education program is housed in the new (2008) School of Education building, a structure created on sustainable design principles. This four or five year program is concurrent with / in conjunction with a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Physical Education (BPHE) or Science (BSc) initial degree; it provides a practical alternative to the traditionally prescribed undergraduate with consecutive B. Ed.

The primary goal of the English-language Bachelor of Education Program is to foster the development of dedicated and competent educators who, in accord with The Foundations of Professional Practice will behave in such a way as to bring honour and dignity to the profession and who will regard as their first duty the effective education of their pupils. B. Ed. Candidates will become competent professionals, using holistic teaching approaches that respect student diversity.

The program is offered in two areas of concentration: Primary/Junior and Junior/Intermediate divisions.

The B. Ed. is offered in conjunction with:

  • General and Honours Bachelor of Arts
  • General and Honours Bachelor of Science
  • Honours Bachelor of Physical and Health Education
